My piece for the 8-Bit Calavera

Yet another awesome group show organized by the excellent Chogrin (who you might remember from TYE) over at the Autumn Society, the 8-Bit Calavera is a collection of old NES cartridges, painted.

Below you can find my simple contribution. The goomba's shape seemed to fit well on the cartridge and plus, since I just finished my second volume of "bit and run" comics it was great to revisit the way I like to draw and paint goombas. I like to think that they're just doing their job, minding their own business with a sort of vacant expression like, huh, why does everything want to stomp me?

The show opens this Thursday in Portland, OR.
